We hope you find the answers to all of your doggie day care FAQ 's here. If you have a question that is not answered on this page please feel free to contact us.
Does my dog have to attend everyday?
No, you may come everyday if you like. Some of our guests come three times a week or two times a week. It is up to you and your pet to decide the number of days you attend day care. Please let us know how many days you would like to attend during the week so you are able to accommodate your pet.
Do I have to commit to a schedule?
We have a drop off and pick up schedule which needs to be followed to insure our guests day is not disruptive. Pre-arranged drop off and pick ups are available outside of our normal operating hours for a fee. Drop ins are welcome if space is available.
Do you accept all breeds?
Yes, all dogs are welcome. Owners need to certify that their pet(s) have not harmed or shown aggression toward any person or other pet. If a pet shows aggression he/she may be expelled from daycare.
Is my pet supervised during daycare?
Yes, there is one supervisor to every 10-15 dogs. The supervisor makes sure a good time is had by all.
I have a small dog, will he be safe?
Some small dogs enjoy running with the big dogs but just in case, we have a special area for the little ones to romp with his/her smaller friends. It is up to your dog if he/she wants to play with the big or small dogs.
What if my pet becomes ill during daycare?
We will try in all cases to use your veterinarian if your pet is feeling under the weather. If your veterinarian is not within close proximity of our daycare we will use our veterinarian. You will receive a call in all instances of illness.
Can my dog be injured?
The best analogy to describe how safe doggie daycare really is would be to compare it to letting your child play on a playground. Your child can fall off the slide and break a leg, catch a cold from another kid (playgrounds don't require vaccine records like we do), run into a bully, get a scratch from rough housing with the boys, etc. Most peopple wouldn't think twice regarding such contingencies. Unless you keepyour child in a padded room (or a crate as in your dog's case), you have to be ready and responsible for accidents like these. You know how great the benefits are of letting your child play and have a good time with other children. So, why does it seem so different when it happens to dogs? Well, dogs don't play with hands; they play with paws, claws, and teeth. If your dog is a playground member, you may occasionally see a scratch or two. However it is rare for any major altercations to occur. The few injuries that do happen are actually the result of play.
